Jack Grealish reckons Bernardo Silva is probably the best player he has played with over his career so far, saying the Portugal international has changed the way he sees football.
It is an amazing compliment for Silva, with Grealish playing alongside a lot of superb performers at Manchester City and England.
The likes of Kevin de Bruyne, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane might have been more obvious choices, but Grealish says it is Silva who has impressed him more than any of his teammates for club or country.
Not only has the Portuguese impressed him, but he has influenced the Englishman’s game, as he wants to do what Silva excels at.
‘One of the best players I’ve played with – and he’s changed the way I see football – is Bernardo Silva. Out of everyone I’ve played with he is probably the best,’ Grealish told The Mirror.
‘The way his brain works is crazy, he will go and get the ball off the keeper and dribble with it from the six yard box. I remember one game last season: the manager told Bernardo to come get the ball off Ederson.

‘So Ederson puts the ball down gives it to Bernardo who goes off on his little dribble around. I was like “What the f**k does this c**t think he is doing? He thinks it’s school football.” It was unbelievable. But he is unbelievable.
‘Pep says he wants us to show balls, wanting the ball under pressure when then opposition crowd are against you at Anfield when everyone is whistling and you’re saying give me the ball. That is Bernardo in a nutshell. That’s what I think I do a little bit.’
