Kanye West and Kim Kardashian settle divorce
Kanye West has been ordered to pay Kim Kardashian $200,000 (£167,000) in monthly child support as the two stars settle their divorce.
The pair will share joint custody of their four children – North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
After eight years of marriage to West, who has legally changed his name to Ye, Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021.
The settlement of the divorce comes after a number of businesses severed ties with Ye due to recent controversies such as antisemitic remarks.
In March, both parties were made legally single, and Kardashian also dropped “West” from her last name.
In court documents filed on Tuesday, the division of their property and custody of their children were resolved.
According to the documents, major decisions regarding the welfare of their children should be discussed among the parties.
The costs associated with the children’s safety, education, and college will be shared.
According to the New York Post, Ye is also expected to pay $200,000 in monthly child support because the children will spend the majority of their time with Kardashian.
Earlier this week, Ye announced his intention to run for US president in 2024.
