Netflix shared a behind the scenes glimpse of how Thing was brought to life in Tim Burton’s Addams Family spin-off Wednesday.
The coming-of-age comedy follows the morbid and slightly unpredictable teen (Jenna Ortega) as she is sent to Nevermore Academy due to causing mischief at her previous enrolments, namely due to murdering one of her classmates.
While reactions to the series – which also stars Catherine-Zeta Jones, and Gwendoline Christie – so far have been mixed to positive, critics have been living for Ortega’s portrayal of the titular lead.
To celebrate the eight-parter’s success, the streaming service shared a series of snaps showing actor Victor Dorobantu rocking a blue-screen suit with only his bare hand exposed – which ultimately explains the movements.
In one shot Dorobantu is pictured on a moving part while his hand runs across the ground.
Talk about commitment.

Although Rotten Tomatoes suggests that reviews have been mixed, Netflix viewers have been binging the series through and through.
With a fan score of 88%, it is the highest-rated Addams Family property on the aggregator website since the original TV series from 1964.
There were three further attempts to restart the Addams Family on TV, but the series from 1973, 1992, and 1998 don’t have any reviews on the website.
The five Addams Family films – three live-action, two animated – have all received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike.
Fans were also overjoyed as OG Wednesday actress Christina Ricci also appears in the series as Marylin Thornhill.

Reflecting on their encounter, Jenna said: ‘I think when [Christina] was on set, neither one of us said Wednesday once to each other.
‘I don’t think she wanted to get in the way of my performance and feel like she was overbearing. I felt like I didn’t want to pull up something that she did 30 years ago,’ she told MTV News.
‘For the sake of my own benefit, but two, yeah, I didn’t want to rip her off and I didn’t want to be too much like her.’
Wednesday is available to stream on Netflix.
