Dwayne Johnson has attempted to repay a secret chocolate debt that has been ‘gnawing’ at him for ‘decades’, during a trip to Hawaii.
The Black Adam superstar might be the newest superhero on the block but it turns out that his origin story might have something to do with stealing Snickers bars from a 7-11.
Taking to Instagram, the 50-year-old shared a video as he returned to a local shop where he used to secretly nab snacks as a youngster, on his way to the gym.
While most of us would never return to the scene of the crime, the Rock made a special visit to the store in an effort to right his past wrongs.
‘I finally exorcised this damn chocolate demon that’s been gnawing at me for decades,’ he began a surprisingly wholesome post, showing him grabbing every bar off the shelves.
‘We were evicted from Hawaii in ‘87 and after all these years – I finally got back home to right this wrong.

‘I was broke as hell, so I used to steal a king sized @snickers EVERY DAY from 7-11 for almost a year when I was 14yrs old, on my way to the gym. The Snickers was my pre daily workout.
‘The same clerk was there every day and always just turned her head and never busted me.
‘I’ve exercised a few big demons over the years (I still have a few left;) so I know this one seems VERY SILLY, but every time I come back home to Hawaii and drive by 7-11… I always knew I needed to go in and clean out every Snickers bar they had – the right way.’
‘And as a bonus it was a lot of fun to take care of everybody who walked into 7-11 while I was there,’ he added, joking that it was the ‘least he could do’.

‘We can’t change the past and some of the dumb stuff we may have done, but every once in a while we can add a little redeeming grace note to that situation – and maybe put a big smile on some stranger’s faces.’
Dwayne racked up a bill of nearly $300 on chocolate alone, which he ended up leaving on the side for the shop assistant to hand out to others.
In another post, beside a string of pictures from his impromptu visit, he added: ‘Had to “right the wrong” back home in Hawaii after all these years.

‘Stealing Snickers + 7-11 = exorcising old demons.’

It’s clear that the chocs served the former wrestler well as he recently opened up about his stint as Black Adam, revealing that he shunned a muscle suit for the role – instead spending hours working on his transformation.
‘That was our goal, for me to bring in the best physique possible. So the challenge with that is not only do you set the bar high – which is fine . . . bring it on! – but then you realize you have to maintain that for months,’ he told Men’s Health.

Dwayne revealed that they could’ve seen the hard work on the horizon and chosen to just use muscle pads, as others have previously done, but they wanted to be authentic.
‘It’s not a knock to my friends at all, but I felt like, “Let’s be disruptive and let’s do it differently.” Let’s take all the muscle pads out, which we did, from Black Adam,’ he added.
‘When you have that suit on, every detail shows. Man, it was constant work, constant tweaking, tweaking, tweaking for months.’
