Billie Eilish will be topping a bill of major popstars for Prince William’s Earthshot Prize awards.
The Happier Than Ever singer, 20, will headline the night’s entertainment in Boston, which will also feature musical appearances from Annie Lennox and Ellie Goulding.
Beyoncé proteges Chloe x Halle will be joining the line-up too, with the Doja Cat collaborators completing the star-studded bill at the city’s MGM Music Hall.
The Earthshot prize, formally set up in 2020 by the Prince and Sir David Attenborough, sees a total of £1million awarded to five winners each year for their contributions to help preserve the environment.
The Prince and the Duchess of Wales will be heading to the States later this week for a three-day trip, which concludes with the awards on Friday, December 2.
A royal source described it as the Prince’s ‘Superbowl’ moment: ‘The prize has become the Prince’s Superbowl moment of the year.’

‘He looks forward to [using] the platform each year to shine a light on some of the most impactful projects doing amazing things around the world to save our planet’s future.’
Earlier this year, Billie hosted a ‘climate takeover’ of the O2 Arena where climate activists and musicians discussed the climate crisis and their attempts to make a difference.
Attempting to secure the five grants this year are innovative companies from Kenya and the Netherlands, while the UK has two nominees for the first time: Notpla Hard Material, a plant-based packaging company, and Low Carbon Materials, which develops concrete from unrecyclable plastic.

Presenters Dermot O’Leary and Clara Amfo hosted last year’s ceremony, and Clara will be returning as compere for this year’s grand occasion.
Famous face Rami Malek, who played Freddie Mercury in the Bohemian Rhapsody biopic, will be among those presenting the awards.
The awards are in their second year, with the top prize last year being handed out to forest restoration campaigners in Costa Rica.

Last year, prizes were also awarded to clean air company Takachar, based in Boston, and Bahamas organisation Coral Vita.
Milan Food Waste Hubs was awarded the fourth prize, while the fifth and final gong of the evening went to the Thai-based AEM Electrolyser.
