MCU fans are dead certain that Mark Hamill has made a sneaky cameo in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
The Disney Plus programme follows the Guardians, who are on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill, as they head to Earth in search of the perfect present.
Written and directed by James Gunn, the show sees see Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff reprise their roles from the films.
However, eagled-eye viewers are convinced Mark, who played Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars films series, has made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
In one scene, a character, who bear an uncanny resemblance to the acting legend, is seen drinking by himself on Knowhere, with many fans speculating it’s a surprise cameo.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: ‘Watched the guardians holiday special last night. @JamesGunn did a great job again, it was alot of fun even a little emotional. Was that @MarkHamill I saw having a drink by Santa?’
‘I did say Mark Hamill was in the GOTG Holiday Special right?’ another commented.
A social media user penned: ‘First rule of Christmas specials: If it looks like @MarkHamill and it drinks like @MarkHamill it probably is @MarkHamill. Merry Christmas you legend!’

Continuting the debate on Twitter, another Marvel fan said: ‘People think this is Mark Hamill. It’s not lol.’
However, the actor’s son Nathan Hamill has shutdown speculation his dad has made an unexpected appearance, writing on Twitter: ‘That’s not @MarkHamill.’
Another account responded to Nathan and claimed the lookalike was in fact performer Troy Beecham and linked to a picture on their Instagram, where they look very much like the character in question.
Recently, Mark spoke about a conversation he had with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy amid the Russian invasion.
Recalling their meeting, he told Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg: ‘He did reference the movies and it’s not hard to understand why.
‘Star Wars was always a fairytale for children and fairytales are always morality tales of good versus evil where good is easily defined and evil is clearly defined,

‘It’s not hard to extrapolate an evil empire with Russia invading a sovereign nation so it’s not surprising.
