A gunman accused of shooting and killing five people at an LGBTQ club in Colorado Springs looked bruised and was barely able to speak in his first court appearance.
Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, was slumped over and seemed bewildered in court via video conference on Wednesday.
Aldrich was barely audible answering a few questions.
‘Could the defendant please state his name?’ said Judge Charlotte Ankeny.
‘Anderson Aldrich,’ the suspect said weakly, hardly appearing awake and with his head resting on his right shoulder.
A judge ordered him to be remain held without bail.
