James Arthur is every inch the doting father after sharing the most adorable photo of him bonding with his baby daughter, while also revealing her face for the first time.
The Falling Like The Stars singer confirmed he had received an ‘unexpected arrival’ with the birth of his first child last week.
It’s believed he shares the newborn with his girlfriend Jessica Grist, who he reconciled with earlier this year following a brief split.
In his announcement on Friday, James revealed they’ve named the tot Emily and has already tattooed her name on his hand.
He’s since given his followers their first proper glimpse of the little one, with James sharing a photo of himself cradling the newborn as she was swaddled in blankets under his hoodie. It seems James has already mastered the art of multitasking with a newborn as he was pictured scrolling through his phone.
The Impossible hitmaker also gave fans an update on his life as a new parent, while also confirming his new song Heartbeat is a tribute to his daughter, writing: ‘We’re just catching up on all the comments and love, thanks everyone for the lovely reaction to the song I attached to the announcement about the arrival of this little one poking out of me jacket.

‘I wrote Heartbeat for her and we thank you for the love and support. It was meant to be hers, but if she lets me I might share the full version with you lot. Let us know if you’d like to hear it!’
Professor Green, who is himself a dad to a son, commented: ‘Welcome to the gang! Hope Mum and baby are good and sending love to the whole tribe! ❤️ check @theunlikelydadsclub x.’

James, 34, shared news of the birth in a heartfelt Instagram post, which said: ‘Dear Emily, welcome to the world.
‘In the last few days someone made an unexpected arrival.’
The clip then cut to the baby’s adorable hand wrapped around James’ finger, with his ‘Emily’ tattoo on show.
The happy news comes after James dedicated his song Emily to his unborn daughter last year, after his girlfriend suffered an ectopic pregnancy.
