The Gogglebox stars had varied reactions to Matt Hancock’s appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! with many applauding Charlene White and Chris Moyles for grilling the former health secretary.
Hancock faced a lot of backlash and stirred controversy for his stint in the jungle, joining the likes of Lioness Jill Scott, pop icon Boy George and the camp’s first ever royal Mike Tindall.
Despite being a latecomer, he was voted in for his first six bushtucker trials by the public, and admitted that he ‘fell in love’ before resigning as health secretary in a scandal that rocked the nation.
The former health secretary stepped down from his position last year after CCTV footage of him kissing his aide, and ultimately broke social distancing guidelines.
He’s since addressed the scandal on the reality show, saying he’s ‘looking for forgiveness’, insisted he didn’t ‘break any laws’ over his lockdown mistake, and revealed that he now has a book coming out, called Pandemic Diaries.

Meanwhile, Charlene’s grilling was praised by many while Sophie Sandiford commented: ‘He’s not even shed a tear there, he’s just stood over the fire so the smoke gets in his eyes.’
Commenting on the bushtucker trials, Abbie Lynn added: ‘He’ll have to do more than eat sheep vagina I think but it’s a start.’

Mary Killen, who has previously come under fire for defending Boris Johnson, commented: ‘I can’t believe anyone would want to read his pandemic diaries.’
However, one cast member had a different reaction.
Jenny Newbury, who sits beside best pal Lee, stunned him with her reaction.

‘He wasn’t the killer, Covid was the killer,’ she began, as Lee hit back: ‘He was the health secretary at the time.’
She then said: ‘Somebody stick up for him for god’s sake!’ as Lee turned and fumed: ‘Shut up you!’
