Louis Tomlinson has given fans an update after revealing the horrific break he had suffered to his arm after a recent show.
The One Direction star, 30, had told fans last week that he had fallen after a show and broken his arm near the shoulder, sharing photos of his X-ray.
He updated his followers on Wednesday to say: ‘Hope everyone is doing alright! Surgery went well so hopefully slowly but surely I’m on the mend.
‘I am absolutely mind blown we have a shot at number 1 in the UK. Thank you for everything! Let’s give this everything we’ve got!!’
Louis is currently in the running against Bruce Springsteen as he hopes his new album, Faith In The Future, could hit the number one spot over Bruce’s Only The Strong Survive.
He had been forced to cancel eight in-person signings of his new album Faith In The Future, beginning in London on November 14 until the final one in Edinburgh, Scotland on November 17 after getting injured.

Sharing photos of his X-rays, Louis told his followers at the time: ‘Thank you to everyone that’s listened to the new album so far, it means the world to me. The show last night in New York was incredible.
‘Unfortunately on the way back I’ve managed to fall and break my right arm pretty badly. So I’m gutted to say I’ll have to reschedule the in-store signings next week.
‘New dates will be announced very soon. Thank you for all your support and sorry to anyone who was coming next week. Louis.’
Louis is also due to take the new album on tour next year, with dates starting in North America from May until July, before heading to Europe and the UK from August onwards.
