Preparation is key even for Warzone 2.0 (pic: Activision)
If you want to get a head start in Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 you should check the dates and times for when you can preload it.
Warzone 2.0 is out on Wednesday, November 16 and promises to bring a bunch of new features, such as new custom loadouts and a revamped backpack system.
On top of that, Season 1 for both Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 will kick off this month as well, adding a new battle pass to the game where you can choose what items to unlock with a lot more freedom.
The one problem with the game is its beefy file size, so if you want to have access to it from day one you better preload the game in advance.
Unlike Modern Warfare 2, the preloading process will go out in one go for Warzone 2.0, starting on Tuesday, November 14 at 6pm in the UK.
The Season 1 update will also arrive sometime before Warzone 2.0’s official launch, so you better clear up some space in your library for that as well.
At the same time, you can also download the update featuring Season 1 for Modern Warfare 2, getting access to all things Call Of Duty-related at once.
If you’re a PlayStation user, the only thing you need to do is head to the PS Store, search for the game and press the provided download option to preload it.

The same goes for Xbox players, as the game will unlock at the same time across both consoles.
However, if you enjoy playing Warzone on PC, this time you’ll see it pop up on Steam as well, besides just Battle.net.
If you want to preload the game via Battle.net you should simply search for Warzone 2.0 and then hit the pre-install prompt.
The process is similar for Steam, although there’s been some confusion amongst those who already own Modern Warfare 2, as for them the Warzone 2.0 preload isn’t seperate.

Activision has explained that if you have Modern Warfare 2 installed and up to date, you should already have Warzone 2.0 preloaded.
If you don’t own Modern Warfare 2, you’ll have to download all 23GB of Warzone 2.0 seperately.
Through a post on Twitter, Activision also said that purchasing Modern Warfare 2 is not ‘necessary’ to experience Warzone 2.0, which is still free to play.
Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC on Wednesday, November 16.
