The shocks are most certainly not in short supply in soapland next week, with big departures and kidnappings on the cards.
Moira Dingle decides to up sticks and leave in Emmerdale in the wake of recent events, but have we truly seen the last of her? The jury is still out on that one, so to speak.
Over in Coronation Street, Bernie Winter is kidnapped as her plan to catch Fern goes awry big time! EastEnders, meanwhile, sees Alfie Moon taken hostage by a gunman.
And as for Sam Mitchell? She makes a huge discovery about Amy, and shock scenes ensue.
Last but not least we’ve got Hollyoaks, which sees Zain offer struggling DeMarcus Westwood some words of support and comfort.

Bernie kidnapped in Coronation Street

Bernie and Dev set a plan to trap Fern. Howard calls, revealing that Fern has been in touch – and wants to meet him in Freshco’s car park, but as Bernie waits at the meeting point, a bloke jumps out of a van, throws a bag over her head and bundles her into the back of it! Bernie screams – but how much danger is she in?
Sam makes a discovery about Amy in EastEnders

Sam is on a mission to secure an invite to a family dinner after she’s told she’s not welcome, and thus she arrives with a dress for Amy. She gains entry to the property using her old keys and walks in on Amy, but she is floored by what she sees. Sam later relays her discovery to Jack, who realises Amy has overheard their conversation.
Moira leaves in Emmerdale

Moira is agitated during her visit to see Cain in prison, and it soon comes to light that she’s intending on leaving the village with Isaac and heading to Belfast. Cain, meanwhile, learns from Mackenzie that his wife and children have left and he’s irate, desperate to know if she plans to return. At the moment, however, it seems unlikely!
Cindy’s got a business idea in Hollyoaks

Cindy gets a business idea after Jack admits the cake pops she made with Zara’s herbal mix gave him an energy boost, albeit after a terrible stomach ache. She hopes after adjusting the ingredients she can start selling them, and she wants Zara to be her business partner, but will she accept?
Yasmeen offers Stu to share her bed in Coronation Street

Yasmeen admits to Stu that she still has feelings for him and if he were to share her bedroom, there would be a spare room for Eliza.
Alfie held at gunpoint in EastEnders

Alfie challenges Bert and Ernie to guess the code to Phil’s safe, and together they work it out. They find serious cash inside, but Sam turns up and Alfie hurries the boys to put the money back.
A masked gunman, named Keith, jumps into Alfie’s cab, and – having robbed a building society – he instructs Alfie to be his getaway driver! But things take another turn when Stacey calls Alfie to inform him about how the safe contains £30,000 – and, at gunpoint, Keith instructs Alfie to take him to Phil’s.
Kerry finds out about Al having an affair in Emmerdale

Chas is thrown when Kerry reveals that Al’s funeral is tomorrow and asks if she’d consider accompanying her! Chas explains she needs to attend Liv’s send off, and she’s later wracked with grief, pushing poor Paddy away once more. The guilt sinks in for her once again when she learns that Al’s funeral was a poor turn out. Paddy, meanwhile, is starting to question if there’s more to Chas’ grief.
Zain offers DeMarcus some advice in Hollyoaks

DeMarcus confides in Zain about having to be the bigger person when everyone keeps testing him. Zain encourages him to make the right choices for himself.
Leanne and Nick check their finances in Coronation Street

Nick and Leanne take a look at their finances and realise they can only make Debbie a low offer for her half of the bistro, and they’re doubtful she’ll accept. Debbie, meanwhile, admits to Ronnie that Nick and Leanne’s offer is all that stands between her and bankruptcy.
Romance for Whitney and Zack in EastEnders?

Whitney is waiting for Zack, who arrives with another girl. He can’t understand Whitney’s reaction until Felix gives him the heads up. Later in the week, Zack arrives at The Albert and makes an attempt to win her over, and Whit agrees to a drink at the Vic. Is this the beginning of something special?
