Samson’s vile behaviour continues (Pictures: ITV)
As Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) remains determined to not have anything to do with baby Esther in Emmerdale, he takes his anger and frustration out on Sam (James Hooton), who’s still recovering after the horrific tractor injury a few weeks ago.
When Samson discovered he was the father of Amelia’s (Daisy Campbell) baby, he made it abundantly clear he wouldn’t be a part of their lives.
For Lydia (Karen Blick) and Sam, they’ve ignored their son’s awful comments and asserted he must play a part in Esther’s life as after all, he was also responsible for creating the new-born.
After spending time with Esther for a few hours, Samson is in a terrible mood and takes it out on Amelia by suggesting they put their daughter up for adoption.
At Jacobs Fold, Noah (Jack Downham) attempts to make Amelia feel better by reminding her that she’s a great mum, and surprising her with a cot in his room for the baby.
Later on, after another argument with Noah, Samson calls social services and sinks to a new low by asking them to take baby Esther into care.
The next day, social services call round, leaving Amelia and Dan (Liam Fox) horrified that someone has made a complaint about Esther’s welfare.

Meanwhile, gutted to learn what Samson has done, Sam pours his heart out, rationalising the sacrifice he made in order to make up for Alice’s death.
When Samson returns, he delivers another low blow and states that he doesn’t want to be anything like his dad, but he could be left to regret his comments as shortly after, Sam collapses to the floor.
It looks like Sam’s efforts won’t be enough to make Samson change his mind about baby Esther.
