Boy George picked the perfect moment to tell Matt Hancock that he’d ‘never voted Tory’, as the pair were faced with plates of horrific meals for their Bushtucker Trial.
Surprising absolutely no one, Conservative MP Hancock was voted by the public to face his third Bushtucker trial in as many days on Thursday night, following his underwater challenge where he clinched 11 stars.
The pair today were faced with some pretty gross-looking meals for the first eating trial of the series, La Cucaracha Cafe.
The Mexican-themed feast saw vegetarian George eat vomit food and fermented plums, while Hancock had to face a sheep’s vagina and a camel’s penis.
Midway through one of his meals, George – who had teared up only minutes before as he gagged his way through a plate – told Hancock: ‘Is this a good time to tell you I’ve never voted Tory.’

Hancock served the perfect reply: ‘That’s not news George.’
Viewers were left in hysterics over the encounter, with one saying: ‘Boy George telling Matt he’s never voted Tory lmaooo gwan lad.’
Someone else echoed: ‘What a line, yes Boy George.’
This comes after the pop icon admitted he had considered quitting after Hancock’s arrival in the jungle – which caused quite the stir.
Speaking to Scarlette Douglas, when Seann Walsh and Hancock arrived as latecomers, Boy George revealed he would have been close to quitting after his mum was hospitalised during the pandemic.
He said: ‘You know, beginning of the pandemic my mum was in hospital. I wasn’t allowed to see her.

‘I thought she was going to die. I was tweeting Greenwich hospital going, “Please look after my mum.”
‘I used my name, I was like “Please look after my mum.” And they did, she was fine.’
He continued: ‘I feel like, I don’t want to be sitting here like I’m having fun with him.
‘It’s difficult for me because, you know, had something happened, if my mum had gone, I wouldn’t be here now.

‘I would have gone when he walked in.’
In the Bush Telegraph, Boy George emotionally shed tears as he continued: ‘If I had lost my mum, I would go.
‘And I feel a little bit selfish, you know, just kind of… everyone’s so nice to him and I was like Jesus, what are we going to do?’
Later in the evening, Boy George opted out of having dinner and chose a bit of private time away from the rest of the camp.

‘I don’t really know what to do with my feelings, you know, today was obviously quite emotional for me, I don’t know what it will be like.
‘I don’t know if I want to be here,’ he added.
In June 2021, when Hancock was health secretary and social distancing rules were still in place in an effort to reduce the spread of Covid-19 across the UK, the politician was caught kissing his aide Gina Coladangelo in CCTV footage.
