There seems to be tension in the air (Picture: ITV/Shutterstock)
Matt Hancock is set to take on his third bushtucker trial tonight, after arriving late to the jungle alongside Seann Walsh.
The pair joined the likes of Babatunde Aleshe, Jill Scott and Mike Tindall after Love Island’s Olivia Attwood made an early exit.
So far, we’ve seen Hancock break out into an Ed Sheeran song, squirm under a downpour of slurry, and admit he ‘fell in love’ before resigning as health secretary in a scandal that rocked the nation.
Meanwhile, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have been throwing in as many government jokes as they can, making cheeky digs at Rishi Sunak, and even comparing Westminster to ‘snakes’.
But, while they may be displaying banter on screen, our body language expert Judi James has revealed there are actually signs of tension between Ant and Hancock.
She told us: ‘There are several verbal and non-verbal clues and cues that suggest Matt Hancock might not be Ant’s favorite person and it might not all be down to any political views, as last night’s trial threw up a telling power-play moment between Matt and Ant.

‘When Matt turned up for his trial last night Ant was already looking a little subdued, standing behind Dec and with his arms down at his sides. He performed a fake-looking smile after briefing Matt and a tongue-poke that can hint at dislike.
‘Matt pitched up in “fun” alpha mode, standing with his hands on his hips in a splay gesture that will signal dominance and with a wide grin on his face.
‘When the trial started Ant and Dec launched on the usual banter that most viewers switch on to see and which has made them award-winning presenters.

‘Ant made his joke about Matt having “met a few snakes in your time” but Matt, in the cage, told him off like a school teacher to a naughty kid.’
Judi continued: ‘”Shall we laugh afterwards?” was a put-down response to Ant and Dec on a show they dominate.
‘It made Matt sound like he was the adult in charge and they were naughty kids and Ant’s reply of “yeah we’ll laugh afterwards, ok” was delivered with an unsmiling expression.

‘From that point on we saw Ant and Dec crack the “air-hole” joke about Matt as well as Ant getting tetchy about the way Matt kept ignoring them to the point where, when Matt asked them where box 8 was, Ant just said “next to 7”.
‘Even back in the studio Ant was standing with his hands in his pockets to present to suggest he might have been taking a more serious stance with the former minister who is on the show for some profile re-hab.’
Hancock made the controversial decision to join the series as a sitting MP during a cost of living crisis while parliament is sitting, after being forced to quit his Cabinet role for breaking his own pandemic rules by kissing his former aide last June.
He has since had the Tory whip suspended after his own party reacted to him entering the jungle.
