Peter Kay fans have been left disappointed after seeing tickets for his upcoming tour being flogged for as much as £1000 on resale sites.
After announcing dates for his first UK tour in years, Kay fans have been struggling to get their hands on tickets for shows.
Pre-sale tickets sold out in minutes amid various site crashes on the side of provider, O2 Priority, however some remaining seats continue to be up for grabs on non-official resale sites.
With a front-section seat for the comedian’s show in Leeds up for sale for £1062 at time of writing on one resale site, ticket prices have soared leaving many fans outraged.
Devastated at the inability to get reasonably priced tickets due to these reselling sites, fans took to social media to express their hurt and disappointment.
One fan shared their confusion on Twitter: ‘@O2LondonTickets please could you tell me why some people waited in a q for over 2 hours today and still couldn’t get tickets for Peter Kay and Viago go who deliberately con people can purchase so many more to exploit genuine people so unfair [SIC].’

Another wrote: ‘Someone needs to shut these reselling sites down!’
‘I’ve been trying all morning to get tickets for Leeds. I’m sure as s*** not paying over £1000 for a ticket.’
Falling victim to the tech issues experienced by the O2 Priority site, this fan said: ‘I am GUTTED been trying presale on O2 Priority for Leeds Arena for over 3 hours but can’t get through yet tickets are on resale sites for over 4 times face value already!
‘Totally devastated. Any advice? [SIC]’
The discussion around ticket prices came after the comedian himself promised to match prices from his last arena tour in 2010.
He stated he wanted to help people during the cost-of-living crisis: ‘And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35 – the same price they were on my previous tour in 2010.’
