Matt Hancock has spoken out about his affair and relationship with Gina Coladangelo, confirming that she’ll be waiting on the bridge for him when he leaves I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022.
On Thursday night’s episode of the ITV programme, the politician was grilled by comedian Babatúndé Aléshé about the aftermath of his kissing scandal, when CCTV footage captured him and his aide Coladangelo in an intimate embrace, despite both of them being married at the time.
Given social distancing measures were in place at the time, the then-health secretary resigned from his position in government, and has remained in a relationship with his lover ever since.
After Hancock told Aléshé that he ‘fell in love’, the Celebrity Gogglebox star joked: ‘You didn’t just “fall in love” you were grabbing booty bruv!’
The MP said that the situation has been ‘hard’, acknowledging that he ‘brought it on myself’, before expressing his excitement over seeing Coladangelo on the bridge when his time in the jungle comes to an end.
‘That’ll be the best thing about being kicked out, seeing her on the bridge,’ he said.

Before his affair with Coladangelo, Hancock was in a relationship with his wife Martha Hoyer Millar, with whom he shares three children. The former couple were married in 2006.
Coladangelo married Oliver Bonas founder Oliver Tress in 2009, with the pair separating in 2021.
During last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, Hancock took on the Tentacles of Terror challenge, earning a full house of 11 stars while taking on creatures such as a crocodile and yabbies under water.
Tonight, he’ll be participating in his third Bushtucker Trial in a row with Boy George – one of his strongest critics in camp – as they tuck into a less-than-appetising meal in an attempt to deliver a substantial meal for their fellow contestants.
I’m A Celebrity returns tonight at 9pm on ITV.
