Pep Guardiola has urged Chelsea to stand by Graham Potter following their defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.
Chelsea have failed to register a win in their last four Premier League matches and are now five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham in the table.
Potter, meanwhile, has faced heavy criticism since Chelsea’s 4-1 defeat to Brighton on October 29, and questions have already been raised over the 47-year-old’s suitability for the job at Stamford Bridge.
But Guardiola believes Chelsea have secured one of the best managers in the Premier League in Potter and insists he needs time to improve his current situation.
‘If Chelsea accept my humble advice, give him time and he will do well,’ said Guardiola.

‘They got good results but the way they play, when I saw the game against Brighton that they lost, I saw many things I remember from his period in Brighton. But he needs time, everybody needs time.
‘No one has success from day one or two, I have a lot of admiration for his work.

‘What he did at Brighton was beyond exceptional and I’m pretty sure with time he will do a good job, I don’t have any doubts.
‘He is one of the best managers, from my point of view, we have in this league.’
