I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers have blasted the show’s first Bushtucker trial and branded it ‘dangerous’ after Chris Moyles struggled to breathe.
Before Love Island star Olivia Attwood was forced to withdraw from the ITV series on medical grounds, she took on HMS Drown Under along with fellow VIPs Chris, Boy George, and Scarlette Douglas.
During the challenge, the radio presenter and Chameleon singer were placed in a chamber with goggles over their eyes.
Their tanks then began to fill with cold water while Olivia and Scarlette had to put their hands into small holes in a wall (containing all sorts of jungle critters, of course) to unscrew a tap inside.
‘This is HMS Drown Under,’ Dec said. ‘Two of you have to work together to locate the taps which are situated inside these hell holes.

‘You’ll both need to turn the taps to fill up the water pipe. Every time the water reaches a number it will release a star into the two torpedo tubes which are behind you here, where the other two celebrities will be locked in.’
Toward the end of the trial, Chris was seen struggling to breathe as the water came close to submerging his face entirely.
Luckily, the countdown to the end of the trial sounded and members of the crew quickly opened the doors to the tank causing the water to come flooding out.
Speaking to presenters Ant and Dec after completing the challenge, Chris admitted he ‘panicked’.

‘With two minutes to go the water was here… with the helmet,’ he said as he gestured to the top of his head.
‘I might have panicked a bit,’ he added.
Viewers couldn’t believe their eyes, with many expressing their concerns on social media.
‘I feel so sorry for Chris,’ one wrote. ‘That is so claustrophobic. That was something out of a horror movie. Even my Dad whose hard as nails said that was dangerous and too close for comfort.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another said: ‘That looked a bit dangerous that task, I couldn’t stand that the water was so high, I’d have well panicked.’
A third added: ‘Watching Chris Moyles drown wasn’t on my agenda for the day if I’m being honest.’
Despite the brutal nature of the trial, the four VIP campmates earned eight of the 10 stars.
