Manchester United are interested in Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic and RB Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko as they identify long-term replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo.
With Ronaldo’s contract expiring at the end of the season, it seems very unlikely that he will still be at Old Trafford beyond the summer of 2023 after a very difficult season so far under Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils are short of options as central strikers after the Portuguese veteran, with Anthony Martial regularly injured and Marcus Rashford operating out wide most of the time.
United will look to head back into the transfer market in the summer and both Vlahovic and Sesko are being considered as their targets up front, reports the Telegraph.
22-year-old Vlahovic only moved to Juventus from Fiorentina in January, after being linked with a move to the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal, and he has been a hit at Juve, scoring 13 goals in his first 25 Serie A games for the club.
However, Juventus have not been performing as a team, dropping out of the Champions League at the group stage, and sitting fifth in Serie A there is no guarantee they will return to Europe’s top table next season.
Sesko, just 19 years old, has been impressive at RB Salzburg and has agreed a deal to move to sister club RB Leipzig in July 2023 on a five-year contract, however, he is still being linked with a different move.

The switch to RB Leipzig is reportedly worth only around £21m and United could step in and bring the Slovenia international to England with a much bigger bid.
There is a chance that moves could even be made in January, with Manchester United open to offers for Ronaldo in the next transfer window, but a replacement would be needed if he did leave.
Whether Ronaldo can find a new home in January or not is yet to be seen as there was a lack of interested parties when he was pushing for an exit in the summer.
His enormous wages and advancing years have put off Europe’s biggest clubs, and despite him wanting to compete in the Champions League, there do not appear to be any top tier clubs keen to sign the superstar.
