Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Kerry (Laura Norton) are both struggling with the loss of their lover, Al (Michael Wildman) in Emmerdale.
While Chas mourns secretly, as a result of her affair, Kerry receives a phone call from Al’s family about his funeral, a new video shows.
Overhearing the tail end of the conversation, Chas slyly asks Kerry what it was about.
Chas has an ulterior motive in listening to Kerry’s woes (Picture: ITV)
She reveals that Al’s adopted mum has sorted out the funeral arrangements, and is shocked when Chas knows about how she abandoned him as a child.
Chas quickly covers, claiming that Marlon (Mark Charnock) must have told her about it.
Kerry continues to believe that Chas is simply offering a friendly ear, and confesses that she feels completely forgotten about, and like she will be just another person at the funeral, as opposed to his future wife.

Further irony comes as Chas comforts her when she admits how much it hurts to feel as though she meant nothing to him.
With Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) away, Kerry feels as though she has no one to turn to.
Will she end up confiding in Chas more often?
