Yazmin Oukhellou has revealed the scars she was left with after surviving a crash that killed ex-boyfriend Jake McLean.
The reality star was injured in a fatal road traffic accident in Turkey this summer, and previously recalled how she had to break her arm to escape the wreck and summon help.
McLean, who was driving at the time of the accident, is believed to have lost control of the car, with the vehicle going over a 70ft cliff.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, McLean’s life could not be saved. He was laid to rest at home in Essex weeks later.
Towie icon Yazmin has been on a long road to recovery since, and has shared updates on her healing process with fans, including a heart-wrenching video showing her crying in hospital after the accident.
Now the 28-year-old has shown the scars she sustained in the wreck for the first time, along with a hopeful message.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Yazmin shared a sweet selfie where she looked happy and healthy, her arm over her head with multiple scars visible.
She wrote: ‘Every scar that you have is a reminder not just that you got hurt, but that you survived.’
The TV star has been inundated with messages of love and support, with Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry and Towie’s Mia Sully among those leaving heart emojis under her post.

Big Brother star Charley Uchea, and fellow Towie stars Harry Derbidge and Junaid Ahmed also left loving messages, with Junaid branding Yazmin ‘beautiful’ in the picture.
The hopeful snap comes days after Yazmin, who has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, opened up about the devastating crash that took the life of her former boyfriend.
‘I tried to wake Jake up, but he wasn’t waking,’ she told The Sun.

‘I tried to beep the horn with my foot, but I couldn’t reach it. We were in the middle of nowhere and so screaming for help wasn’t any good.’
She added: ‘I knew I had to get out of the car and somehow I found the strength to free my arm by lifting it with my left hand, moving my right arm up and dropping it back down for what felt like forever until I snapped it free.
‘I knew in my gut he’d gone.’

However, Yazmin revealed the paramedics told her that he was alive and being taken to another hospital, which she believes was to avoid causing her further distress.
According to the publication, Yazmin and McLean were not officially in a relationship at the time of the accident but were hoping the trip to Turkey would help them rekindle their romance.
