Just a few hours into Season 15 of Apex Legends there’s already been leaks about a new heirloom getting added to the game.
As a new era for Apex Legends starts with Season 15, you’ll start to see new maps, legends, and even heirlooms get added to the game to hype players up.
If you’ve already logged into the game, you’d have seen a brand new map called New Moon and defensive conjurer Catalyst have been added to the rotation. As usual, there’s a fresh battle pass, filled with high-tier cosmetics, although now you have the option to gift your friends if you’re feeling generous – or if you want to get rid of the stuff you don’t really like.
With every new season, the question of who’s getting an heirloom also arises, as players want to see their favourite characters rock these high-tier melee cosmetics.
Usually, they get added to the game with collection events, where you can unlock them by buying all the event’s Apex packs. However, as you’d have to pay a good amount of money for that, most players wait until they get lucky and score some heirloom shards by opening the free packs that come with levelling up.
Translocating thief Loba was the latest legend to get her heirloom, as it was previously teased through the game’s official comic. Her heirloom, named Garra de Alanza (Alanza’s Claw), was one of the most anticipated ones, as she had joined the meta all the way back in Season 5.
Even though Seer is a newer legend, joining the games in Season 10, there are already rumours he’ll be the one getting his heirloom next.
A leaker even went ahead and posted a photo of the item on Twitter, and it appears to be some kind of sickle, as was indicated in earlier leaks.
Each legend’s heirloom usually comes with a high-tier banner pose and a voice line to show it off, though as of now there are no other leaks revealing the whole package.
If Seer receives his heirloom, he’ll become the sixteenth character to have one. Here’s a list of all the legends and their heirlooms since Season 1:
Waith (Kunai blade) Bloodhoud (Raven’s Bite axe) Lifeline (Shock Stick drumsticks) Pathfinder (Boxing Gloves) Octane (Butterfly Knife) Mirage (Too Much Witt golden trophy) Caustic (Death Hammer) Gibraltar (War Club hatchet) Bangalore (Cold Steel knife) Revenant (Dead Man’s Curve scythe) Rampart (Problem Solver wrench) Wattson (Energy Reader) Crypto (Biwon Blade) Valkyrie (Suzaku spear) Loba (Garra de Alanza folding fan)
Another set of high-tier cosmetics introduced last season were prestige-tier legends skins. These skins are unlocked the same way as heirlooms, and then you can further level them up by completing each tier’s challenge, which usually requires dealing a set amount of damage in-game.
Despite Respawn claiming you should receive shards for free when opening your 500th Apex pack, a lot of players have been reporting that this hasn’t been the case for them.
This led developers to add extra levels to the game, which was previously capped at level 500, though it still remains unclear if this has made any difference.
