£150 for disabled people to ease cost of living
The government has announced a payment of £150 will be provided to up to six million disabled people from 20 September to help with the rising cost of living.
Within a couple of weeks of the rollout date, most people who are eligible will receive the cash in their bank accounts.
The payment is part of a package of measures introduced to help with rising cost of energy and food.
But critics argue the support will not go far enough will household bills set to rise even more so this winter.
The payment is intended to help the disabled with rising prices and the extra costs they face – such as care and specialist equipment.
