Liz Truss ‘gets lost’ trying to leave room after leadership bid speech

But Liz Truss couldn’t help the look of embarassment that flashed across her face as she realised she had taken a wrong turn following her widely watched speech kickstarting her Tory leadership bid.
The foreign secretary, who is currently in third place behind Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt, came out swinging with pledges to cut taxes and claimed she was ‘ready to be prime minister from day one’.
But her preparations apparently didn’t include the path to the exit after she finished taking questions from reporters.
