More than 7,000 people are dying needlessly from diabetes in the UK every year – with an increase in 2022 on pre-pandemic levels, says the Express.

The paper says that deaths caused by the chronic condition increased by 13% last year, with the paper describing it as the country’s “fastest growing health emergency”.
