The next time you’re commuting to work, you might surprised to come across posters for ‘biological blowjobs’ and ‘gluten-free gangbangs’ amongst the usual adverts for fast food and high street chains.

In case you’re wondering where your posters for Pret have gone, Sexual wellness platform CHEEX has launched a campaign to draw attention to issues in porn production and consumer behaviour.

To promote the need for the fair and ethical production of porn films, the company has produced posters with slogans like ‘Fairtrade Fetish,’ ‘Biological Blowjob’ and ‘Gluten-free Gangbang’.

While content on free porn sites often comes from non-transparent sources, CHEEX aims to offer a selection of adult films and audio stories on its platform, created under certain guidelines to ensure it has been produced ethically.

The terms that CHEEX has applied to sex acts usually go alongside food, clothing and cosmetics. As the platform points out, these products have to meet a long list of criteria to ensure their quality – unlike porn.

CHEEX says that the absence of portraying female pleasure, promoting unrealistic beauty and body ideals plus a lack of communication and exchange between performers in porn often creates unrealistic expectations instead of genuine pleasure – and they’re looking to change that.

The actual rules of ethical porn production are not universally
defined – but content on CHEEX’s platform must meet the following criteria:

CHEEX stresses that as part of their ‘ethical porn revolution’, consent plays a major role – all sexual practices are actively agreed to before and throughout filming.
