Police officers patrolling on the M25 on Wednesday ended up getting quite the eyeful.

Surrey Police used the opportunity to remind people that drivers must always have their eyes open and looking ahead while at the wheel.

This driver was however caught driving along with their eyes closed – although we’ve no idea why.

It’s also very strange that his passenger was leaning across and closely inspecting his lap.

Who knows why she was doing that? Maybe she dropped something? We’ll never know.

Surrey RoadSafe shared the unfortunate image to their X account, who confirmed that both driver and passenger had been reported.
