Waterloo Road is set to return for its 13th series, complete with a new cohort of students ready and raring to cause trouble for the staff.
Among the five new faces set to appear is Hattie Dynevor, daughter of Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor, whose portrayal of Sally Metcalfe in the ITV has made her a household name.
Hattie will be taking on the role of Libby Guthrie, and following in the footsteps of real life older sister Phoebe, who began her career in Waterloo Road.
Phoebe played the role of Siobhan Mailey between 2009 and 2010, before later joining the cast of Bridgerton.
Joining Hattie in series 13 of the BBC school drama are Zak Sutcliffe as Schumacher Weever, Maisey Robinson as Portia Weever, Tillie Armartey as Stacey ‘Stace’ Neville and Aabay Ali as Mollie ‘Mog’ Richardson.

Viewers can expect plenty of drama from the series ahead, with headteacher Kim Campbell (Angela Griffin) making it clear to her staff in a preview clip that she wants to make some serious changes following the dramatic events of last term.
It also seems that Andrew Treneman (Jamie Glover) isn’t prepared to leave Waterloo Road behind just yet, as his romance with Kim is set to be explored further.
Elsewhere, Preston Walters (Noah Valentine) continues to struggle with his bulimia, as he considers dropping out of sixth form altogether.

Actor Noah Valentine revealed to Metro.co.uk that he is pleased to be staying on, as Preston’s story ‘isn’t done yet’.
‘I love playing Preston, I love the experience of being on the show and I love the people on it. I’m definitely excited to be continuing his story, if that happens. I’m not done with him yet.’
The preview also confirms the return of students Samia Choudhury (Priyasasha Kumari) and Kai Sharif (Adam Ali), while teachers Joe Casey (James Baxter), Lindon King (Vincent Jerome) and Valerie Chambers (Shauna Shim) also make an appearance.

One character who doesn’t appear in the preview is Myles Massey (Osian Morgan), who was taken into custody after starting the fire which left Danny Lewis (Adam Abou) dead.
It is yet to bee seen whether or not Myles will return to the show, but actor Osian Morgan told Metro.co.uk what he’d like to see happen if the character did return.
‘I think if I ever were to go back I’d like to explore his personal life and his private life. I think that would be the main thing, really. And really delve into why Myles is Myles and why he does the things he does and says the things he says. There has to be a reason.’
Waterloo Road has never been afraid to tackle difficult, hard hitting issues faced by young people today, and we are certain that that will be set to continue through series 13 of the popular show.
