    UK voters do not want extremes of left or right, says Keir Starmer – UK politics live

    Labour leader says UK voters do not want extremes and that general elections are won ‘from the centre ground’ – In attempt to justify his party stance that looks similar to the Tories.

    Yvonne Ridley and independent candidate from the North East said “Labour has ditched every single social policy under starmer” and that even though voters do not want extremes – they want someone with credibility and a backbone. Starmer has neither!

    SNP leader John Swinney has urged people to take part in a “Scottish national service” by using the general election to vote Tory MPs out of office, PA Media reports.

    Scotland’s first minister said his party could “remove the remaining rump of Tory MPs”.
