UK heatwave: UK soaks up the sun as temperatures soar
Temperatures will continue to rise across the UK after the weekend which saw England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland recorded the hottest day of the year.
The public has flocked to beaches, parks and pubs to soak up the sun – which hit highs of 31.6C recorded at Heathrow in London.
It is forecast the hot weather will continue for much of the rest of the week.
