Two prosecutors leading New York investigation into Donald Trump abruptly resign
The Metro says The two prosecutors leading the Manhattan district attorney’s investigation into former president Donald Trump’s business practices abruptly resigned on Wednesday.
The prosecutors, Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz, gave their resignations after the new Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg reportedly expressed that he had doubts about the case, The New York Times reported.
Both prosecutors started with the probe in 2018 under Cyrus Vance Jr, the former district attorney.
Their resignations come after a monthlong pause in their presentation of evidence to a grand jury, and it’s unclear what has caused the retreat.
