A TV legend is the latest addition to This Morning’s presenting line-up after Phillip Schofield’s exit.
Holly Willoughby, 42, has been presenting alongside different co-hosts, including Craig Doyle and Dermot O’Leary, since Phillip, 61, resigned from ITV after admitting to lying about an affair with a runner.
Bosses have reportedly decided against a permanent replacement for Phillip and instead, Holly will remain the only permanent fixture on This Morning, with her co-stars rotating.
Now, another potential co-presenter for the Wylde Moon founder is being trialled, according to reports.
But to test the waters Steve Jones, 47, will first co-host with Josie Gibson on Wednesday’s This Morning, with the hope he will be a hit and become part of the show’s stable of presenters.
A source told the Daily Mail: ‘The hope is that those watching at home will love Steve, he’s a very experienced broadcaster but also very cheeky.

‘Hopefully he will be part of the new dawn for This Morning after the Schofield scandal, and will help to give it a fresh new look.’
After working as a model, Steve started his presenting career in the late 90s working on the staple weekend TV show T4, which was broadcast every Saturday and Sunday morning on Channel 4 and ran from 1998 to 2012.
Steve went on to work in a wide range of TV, from fronting up BBC One’s Lets Dance for Comic Relief with Claudia Winkleman to presenting the first series of The X Factor USA in the United States alongside Nicole Scherzinger.

The Welsh TV personality currently leads the presenting team on F1 coverage for Channel 4.
Steve previously dated The One Show host Alex Jones and had a fling with Pamela Anderson before marrying model Phylicia Jackson.
