Ted Dexter: Former England Test cricket captain dies aged 86
The i says former England cricket captain Ted Dexter has died aged 86.
The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) confirmed that he “passed away peacefully” surrounded by family inn Compton Hospice, Wolverhampton, at midday on Wednesday after a recent illness.
The statement read: “MCC is deeply saddened to announce the death of the Club’s much loved former President, Edward Dexter CBE.
“Ted was a cherished husband, father and grandfather and one of England’s greatest ever cricketers.”
