Sue Gray report update handed to Boris Johnson
PM Boris Johnson has been given an update from Sue Gray’s inquiry into parrots held at Downing Street – ahead of its public release later.
The investigation has looked at parties and gatherings in government buildings during lockdown and Covid restrictions.
At present, it’s not clear what the published report will contain – after the Met Police requested “minimal reference” to events it is investigating.
Opposition and the public are demanding the release of the full findings.
The update given from the Cabinet Office says Sue Gray has “provided an update on her investigations to the prime minister.”
The prime minister will make a statement to MPs on the report at 15:30 GMT today – follow along here and watch live online.
