Strictly’s Tasha Ghouri beams in first red carpet appearance since Andrew Le Page split
Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri has been pictured at her first red carpet event since her split from Andrew Le Page.
The former Love Island contestant was in attendance at Metro’s Pride Awards on Wednesday night, where she joined the likes of Rylan Clark and I’m A Celebrity star Tulisa.
Tasha, 26, walked the red carpet in an embellished silver gown, with bead detailing across the front.
The star looked sensational in the sheer outfit, which she paired with sparkling heels.
Tasha kept the dress in the limelight, with minimal jewellery and makeup, and her wavy blonde hair loose as she posed for the cameras.
Her red carpet appearance comes just weeks after she and her former partner Andrew announced they were were parting ways.
The pair had made it to the final of Love Island in 2022, but revealed their split last month, with sources claiming at the time that they grew distant during her time on Strictly.
Tasha reached the final of the BBC One competition with Aljaz Skorjanec, missing out on the glitterball trophy to Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell.
She then spent weeks touring the country with members of the cast for the live shows.
In January, an insider told The Sun: ‘Tasha was madly in love with Andrew but the cracks started to show when she appeared on Strictly.’
‘She gave her all in that competition. Her focus was purely on her dances with Aljaz and that drove a wedge between them as time went by,’ they added.
Tasha has said little of the split so far, but did tell fans she wouldn’t be speaking out publicly about it as ‘it’s a private side of my life which I’m still dealing with internally and mentally’.
She was also forced to hit back at cruel comments she received after Andrew, 27, moved out of the home they shared together with their dog and back to his hometown Guernsey.
‘I didn’t want to comment on this but when I’m getting messages saying I’m horrible person, scum, etc I have to put my foot down,’ Tasha wrote on Snapchat last week.
She continued: ‘No-one knows what went on in our relationship behind closed doors.’
She had earlier said in a video shared on social media: ‘I won’t be speaking on the situation – it’s a private side of my life which I’m still dealing with internally and mentally.
‘It’s private for me and as much as I do want to share it with you all, one day I will, but I’m still processing everything that has happened and going on. I hope you can all understand on why I’ve not spoken out on the situation.’
Ahead of making it to the final of Strictly last year, Tasha spoke about how it had been an ‘absolute dream’ to inspire others within the deaf community by performing on the show with her bedazzled cochlear implant.
She had impressed judges and fans throughout the series, and was the first to score a 10 and a perfect 40.
She said in December: ‘It’s been an absolute dream, especially bedazzling my cochlear implant.’
‘The amount of messages I’ve got from – especially younger women, younger children, teenagers – who have said “I felt represented because I’ve seen you on TV, I started decorating mine as well”, and that’s the power of representation,’ Tasha added.
She concluded: ‘Honestly, it’s been an absolute dream, and I feel so thankful to have the opportunity to be able to do that and to help people find their confidence and to believe in themselves.’
