Spain to welcome back unvaccinated Brits ‘within days’ in huge summer holidays boost
Daily Mirror says Brits have been dealt a huge boost for the summer holidays as Spain is set to relax its Covid travel rules ‘within days’ for unvaccinated travellers.
The country has already been welcoming back UK travellers, but only vaccinated Brits are currently able to visit for tourism, as well as travellers who can show proof of recovery from Covid within the last six months.
It’s meant that Spain holidays have remained off the table for those who aren’t fully vaccinated against coronavirus. The exceptions have been unvaccinated children aged 12-17 who can enter provided they have a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of travel, or can show proof of Covid recovery.
But now the country’s Industry, Commerce and Tourism minster, Reyes Maroto., has said that the rules will be relaxed ‘within days’ for unvaccinated travellers from non-EU destinations.
