The late Sean Lock is to be honoured in a special tribute during Stand Up To Cancer 2023, it’s been revealed.
This year, the charitable show is set to return, having last aired on Channel 4 in 2021.
8 Out of 10 Cats star Sean died in August that year at the age of 58 after being diagnosed with cancer.
It has now been announced that Stand Up To Cancer is due to take place on Friday November 3 to celebrate the decade-long telethon put on by Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK, following its launch all the way back in 2012.
As part of the evening’s festivities, which bring laughs across the nation while also raising vital money for cancer research, the show will look back on the comedic prowess of Sean.
The programme will end with footage from Sean’s 2010 show, which was filmed at London’s Hammersmith Apollo for his sell-out tour, Sean Lock: Lockipedia.
More to follow.
Stand Up To Cancer 2023 will air on Friday November 3 on Channel 4.
