Queen flies to Prince Philip’s rural ‘bolt hole’ for first time since his death
The Metro says The Queen has finally made it back to Sandringham for the first time since her husband Prince Philip died.
Her majesty arrived at the Norfolk estate on Sunday after making the short helicopter trip from Windsor, where she has spent much of the last few years.
The long-planned trip has been a year in the making after various delays due to the pandemic.
She had been due to spend Christmas at Sandringham as is traditional but was forced to cancel at the last minute due to surging Covid cases at the time.
