A protester who scaled the 120 ft clock tower at King’s Cross station has been pictured being dragged away by police.

Emergency services have been at the station since 9am over reports of a ‘person in a precarious position’ at the central London station.

He held up a banner reading: ‘Prime Minister of the UK, the Islamic Republic killed over 440,000 people in just two days.

‘This regime has no legitimacy, expel its diplomats. Uphold democracy.’

Footage shows him wearing black clothing carrying the large banner up to the top of the brick building.

But now new images have shown him being handcuffed and led away by a group of police officers.

UK News has contacted British Transport Police for comment.

But the force said earlier this morning: ‘Officers were called to Kings Cross railway station at around 8.30am today following reports of a person in a precarious position.

‘The incident is ongoing and officers are in attendance alongside other emergency services, working to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.

The London Fire Brigade supplied a 32-metre turntable ladder to help bring the man down.
