An investigation into allegations of Britney Spears being hit by a security guard has come to an end.

The musician, 41, was out with her husband Sam Asghari, 29, in Las Vegas on Wednesday evening (July 5) when she was reportedly hit by a bodyguard.

According to TMZ, the US star was attempting to approach NBA star Victor Wembanyama and tapped him on the shoulder before she was ‘back-handed’ by a member of his security detail.

Britney herself later spoke out, admitting in a statement that she felt ’embarrassed’ to have to speak about the incident, but it was ‘out there already.’

Now, police have declared that the accused individual will face no further charges.

A statement provided to Metro.co.uk read: ‘The LVMPD has concluded its investigation of the alleged battery that occurred on July 5, 2023, at 11 pm, in the 3700 block of Las Vegas Boulevard.

‘No charges will be filed against the person involved.’

    More to come.
