Police hunt couple who ate 12 burgers and ‘fled diner without paying £174 bill’
The Metro says A man and woman who allegedly ate 12 burgers between them and left a restaurant without paying have been dubbed ‘Britain’s greediest couple’.
Police are now hunting the pair who walked into Bite Me Burger in Marlborough, Wiltshire, and asked to complete its burger challenge.
The restaurant offers customers the chance to scoff a dozen burgers for free. However, diners must pre-book and finish eating them in six minutes.
Staff say the couple ordered £174 worth of burgers, ate them all and then refused to pay, claiming they had completed the challenge.
