Plymouth shooting: 3-year-old girl among five shot dead by Jake Davison

Police have said a three-year-old was among those shot dead by gunman Jake Davison, 22 in Plymouth before he turned the gun on himself.

Jake Davison first shot dead a 51-year-old woman on Biddick Drive in Keyham on Thursday evening.

He then killed the girl and a 43-year-old male relative in the same road, before shooting a 59-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman who later died in Derriford Hospital, police said.

Davison was reported dead at 6.23pm, just minutes after police were alerted at 6.11pm.

Two other people, a 53-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man who were known to each other, were injured in the attack and are being treated in hospital. Police said neither are seriously injured.

Speaking at a press conference earlier, he said the first woman Davison killed was at an address on Biddick Drive and it was understood they had a familial relationship.

Davison then went outside where he shot the girl and her relative, before shooting dead another man in nearby parkland.

After shooting and fatally injuring another woman in Henderson Place, Davison turned the weapon on himself, the force said.
