Pedro Pascal thrilled locals in Margate, Kent when he paid a visit to a gallery hosting an exhibition in his honour.

The 48-year-old star who plays in The Last Of Us actor pitched up to the Rhodes Gallery over the weekend to browse the collection – only to find he was denied entry.

He is an avid human rights campigner and has also strived to be in direct contact with his supporters and fans, and regulalry speaks up about the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

Failing to plan before he made his trip, the A-list star was met with barred doors as the venue hosting, ‘ADHD Hyper Fixation and why it looks like I love Pedro Pascal’ was closed for the day that was in it.

Heidi Gentle Burrell, a 45-year-old artist, opened her homage to The Mandalorian star in the seaside town in June.

As the gallery was out of action for the weekend, the creator herself wasn’t on hand to greet the star who turned up with fellow actor Russell Tovey and former musician Robert Diament.

Despite missing the chance meeting, she was thrilled nonetheless the star made the journey in an attempt to see her work.

The Wickford, Essex local explained: ‘It was absolutely fantastic. Although I can imagine he’s slightly embarrassed, with all the art being about him!’

According to Essex Live, she said: ‘I’m gutted he showed up on a Sunday when the gallery was closed. I’d love for Robert to bring him along when we’re actually open.’

While Pedro never got to see the artwork inspired by himself, the star stood outside the closed gallery on Sunday with his entourage and snapped a selfie to commemorate the moment.

Heidi continued sharing after admitting the picture was what alerted her to Pedro’s presence at the gallery: ‘It was absolutely nuts.

‘So many lovely people have messaged me in the last couple of days. I completely understand why Robert didn’t tell me he was going with Pedro, they want their privacy.

‘But I’m a bit gutted I missed them! It’s fantastic for me, though, hopefully it’ll elevate the conversation around neurodivergence. I feel like I’m helping to create a positive change.’

She went on to reveal why she chose to paint the famous face: ‘I used to watch him in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and lots of crime dramas, which I always thought he was really good in.

‘The first film I saw him in was called Bloodsucking Bosses, but I loved him before he was famous, too.

‘I just found he had a really interesting face, from an artistic point-of-view. He’s got two little bald patches in his beard and creases in his eyebrows and bridge of his nose.

‘I wouldn’t call myself an obsessed fan, but I do hyper-fixate on capturing him in my art.’
