Hundreds of people who attended Oktoberfest in Anglesey, north Wales, are demanding refunds after event goers were left fed up waiting in endless queues.
People described the event as an ‘unmitigated disaster’ and ’embarrassing’, with hour-and-a-half waits for the bar.
Event planners Oktoberfest UK has said ‘they will be taking forward important lessons’.
But this hasn’t stopped empty-pocketed partygoers from demanding their full refunds via the Facebook page called ‘Oktoberfest Mon Survivors’.
Around 3,000 tickets were sold for the event and some even bought VIP tickets with table service that never materialised.
Many abandoned the event altogether because they couldn’t stand waiting in line.
Several people who attended contacted organisers directly about refunds but claim they still haven’t heard anything back.

She was told to contact the ticket seller but when she tried to contact Skiddle they informed her to contact the organisers.
A Skiddle spokesperson said their self-service platform is where event organisers can list and sell tickets for their event which provides a booking service for event goers.
They told North Wales Live that event organisers are ‘only required to provide refunds in the event of a cancellation or the postponement of an event’ and they are only allowed to issue refunds on this basis.

Talking about the problems, organisers added: ‘There were numerous technical issues on the bar at the start of the event which meant the bar provider couldn’t get drinks out fast enough to begin with and subsequently a large queue began to form which then took over an hour to totally service and resume normal service.
‘Working with new suppliers in a new location always comes with its challenges and while we are grateful for the hard work put in by everyone on the bar, we have bought our relationship with them to a close today with immediate effect.
‘As a team we all pulled together to help and worked at full capacity until the queue had been completely serviced.’
Anglesey Council’s trading standards department added it was aware of concerns had been raised but they had received ‘very few complaints’.
