Cliff Notes – Oasis reassures cheating fans they are ‘safe’ after Coldplay kiss-cam saga

    • Liam Gallagher assured Oasis fans that they won’t face a kiss-cam situation like the one that recently exposed a cheating couple at a Coldplay concert.
    • The Oasis reunion tour, which began on July 5, marks the first collaboration between Liam and Noel Gallagher since their split in 2009.
    • Following the kiss-cam incident, Gallagher emphasised that fans’ personal interactions are none of the band’s business, promoting a more relaxed concert atmosphere.

Oasis fans with wandering eyes have been told not to worry about being caught out for cheating.

Earlier this month Liam Gallagher, 52, and older brother Noel Gallagher, 58, finally reunited for their long-awaited reunion tour.

Kicking off in Cardiff on July 5, that gig was the siblings’ first since their split in 2009.

While their tour has been one of the most-talked about in recent weeks, some of the spotlight was redirected at fellow British band Coldplay last week when a kiss-cam exposed a cheating couple.

On July 16, during a concert near Boston, Massachusetts in the United States, a couple were shown on the big screen while embracing.

However, their reaction raised eyebrows after the pair quickly dropped and ducked out of view, with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin quipping: ‘Ooh, look at these two. Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy!’

It turns out his suspicions were correct, with internet sleuths soon uncovering the pair as Astronomer chief executive Andy Byron and his HR chief Kristin Cabot – who are both married, but not to each other.

A few days on Liam has weighed in and said his fans shouldn’t be concerned about finding themselves in a similar situation at one of his band’s gigs.

During Sunday night’s show at Manchester’s Heaton Park, he asked the audience: ‘Do we have any lovebirds in the house?’.

He went on to share: ‘Don’t worry, we ain’t got any of that Coldplay, snidey f***ing camera s***. It doesn’t matter to us who you’re f***ing mingling with, or tingling with or fingering with. None of our f***ing business.’

Throughout their Music of the Spheres global tour Coldplay have done a segment each show where they film audience members and Chris sings an impromptu song to them.

However, following the unfortunate kiss-cam incident last week that exposed the affair, he warned fans at the band’s show in Madison, Wisconsin that they might be filmed.

‘We’d like to say hello to some of you in the crowd. How we’re gonna do that is we’re gonna use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen,’ he explained.

Flashing a grin, he added: ‘So please, if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now.’

After the footage of the kiss-cam went viral, Chris was filmed saying he hoped they ‘hadn’t done something bad’.

On Saturday Byron, who had served as CEO since 2023, tendered his resignation from Astronomer.

Cabot is believed to have joined the company as Chief People Officer nine months ago.

Neither have spoken publicly about their ‘affair’ being exposed.
