The Netherlands came from behind to see off a resilient yet potent Turkey and set up a semi-final against England at Euro 2024.
Again and again the Turks showed there potency in attack and took the lead against the Dutchies. Centre-back Samet Akaydin had deservedly put Turkey in front when he headed in Arda Guler’s dinked cross, capping an impressive first-half display.

Teams have written Turkey off, yet they proved they are not here to make up the numbers, they are a solid team, that plays like a team.
But their celebrations would not last as the Netherlands, who had a poor first half, responded after the break.
The Dutch dug deep
They found an equaliser through Stefan de Vrij’s header with much relief around the stadium which then turned to jubilation 5 minutes later.
An own goal from Mert Muldur, bundling the ball over his goalline under pressure from Cody Gakpo, meant the Dutch clawed back the lead.
Dutch Goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen denied Kerem Akturkoglu with an excellent save late on, as De Vrij made crucial blocks inside the area.
It was really the change at half-time from Ronald Koeman. The Dutch dug deep, had the better chances and turned it round.
Celebrations were magical after the game, seeing a united Dutch team is a rare thing.
It means the Dutch will now begin there preparation to take on England in Dortmund on Wednesday (20:00 BST) after England beat Switzerland on penalties, with a place in the final against either France or Spain at stake.
