Nene Leakes has claimed that she should have been more successful than Kim Kardashian.
The 55-year-old shot to fame on the first series of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, in 2008, and became a firm fan favorite.
From there, she went on to land roles on a string of small screen projects, including Celebrity Apprentice, Glee, the New Normal and Dancing With The Stars.
However, in a new interview with TV producer Carlos King, the RHOA icon claimed that she was held back with opportunities, while the Kardashians star’s career flourished.
When Carlos asked if she thought she should be ‘bigger’ than Kim, she replied: ‘Absolutely. If not bigger, right there with her.
‘I felt like they pushed Kim, and they didn’t push me. Kim came on after me, and they opened up every door and every opportunity for her.

‘Even putting us together at times and making her much more bigger than me.
‘They pushed Kim to the front and pushed me to the back, and I don’t think that was by chance. I think that was the way they wanted it to be.
‘We were together because I was Nene and I came out before her, and it looked good for us to be together. That’s how I feel.’
Kim landed her E! series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, in 2007, with the cameras following the famous family for 20 seasons – before they moved over to Hulu for a new deal in 2022.

The pair became friends, with Nene joining the Skims designer at her baby shower in 2013, and being introduced as a character on her Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game two years later.
Elsewhere in the chat, the Glee alum alleged that, although they both had collections with Shoe Dazzle at similar times, only Kim’s was promoted.
She also suggested that it felt as though the cast ‘couldn’t show their businesses’ on RHOA, with the Kardashians highlighting their own ventures and projects throughout the run of KUWTK – despite both Bravo and E! being owned by NBCUniversal.

‘I just think that they made her more successful. And she was able to get opportunities and walk through doors that they just did not want me to walk through,’ she added.
‘They just pushed her stuff forward and were always giving her opportunities.
‘I just wasn’t given the opportunities that she was given.’
Bosses for NBC, Bravo and E! have yet to address Nene’s allegations, while Kim has not spoken out over the claims.
