Many people around the country are already starting their King Charles’ Coronation prep.

Taking place on May 6, street and house parties will be aplenty, and many will want some commemorative decor to set the mood.

M&S is always on hand for events such as this and its latest Coronation themed launch is proving popular.

The brand has just launched a £10 Coronation Light Up Candle featuring an illustrated design.

It’s a perfect keepsake of the time and will be a lovely reminder of when the King was officially crowned for many years to come.

The candle design features an illustration of Westminster Abbey along with three guards and a hot air balloon pulling a ‘God Save the King’ banner.

The candles include LED lights (Picture: M&S)

Not only do they look beautiful, they smell divine too with a fresh and herbal scent and notes of zesty neroli, lime and bergamot.

However, the most unique aspect of the items are the LED lights that are dotted around the glass and are triggered when lighting the wick.

On sale earlier than a lot of other Coronation items, the candles may not be available for too long.

And comments are already flying in with many praising the smell and the appearance.

In a review, one user said: ‘I haven’t lit mine yet but as far as the appearance goes it is even nicer than it looks online. I purchased three, one for myself and two as gifts.

‘I was absolutely delighted with them as I am sure the recipients will be. Well Done M&S for this quality Coronation souvenir at a reasonable price.’

Meanwhile, the retailer has also launched a limited edition collection of Commemorative Tins to mark the Coronation.

Starting at just £5, and available in two colours, the collectable tins are filled with Fairtrade English Breakfast tea or All-butter Shortbread.

Each tin has a regal design and will make a gorgeous gift for friends and family.

Shoppers should note that the tins are only available for a limited time and in store.

So get down to your local M&S now.
