Met Office weather warning as thunderstorms to smash Britain TONIGHT – power cut fears
Daily Express says THE Met Office has announced a yellow weather warning for the UK as thunderstorms are set to smash the nation tonight, with fears of power cuts as a result.
The storms are predicted to bring some disruption to the country. With thunder and lightning predicted, the Met Office foresees some short term loss of power and other services is likely.
Furthermore, other consequences can be expected during the storm.
The Met Office states, that there is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.
